Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences is a budding medical institute whose seed was sown by the Government of Karnataka to achieve the WHO goal of “Health for All” to “attain the highest possible level of health and well-being for all at all ages through a preventive and promotive health care orientation in all developmental policies, and universal access to good quality health care services without anyone having to face financial hardship as a consequence”.
To cater to the health care services of the district Government of Karnataka sanctioned medical institute in the year 2013-14 and got permission for 150 MBBS seats from academic year 2016-17 onwards.
